Marco Carola’s Ibiza residency, Music On, is moving to Pacha.
Since launching in 2012, the house and techno event has dominated the White Isle, occupying the Friday night slot at Amnesia, a club Carola has ties to stretching back more than ten years. Yesterday, a Facebook post confirmed that the party will switch to Thursdays at Pacha. Dates and lineups are still TBA.
Music On will join former Amnesia rival Cocoon at the iconic super club. Sven Väth’s party, which turns 20 this year, made the switch last summer.
SCRAAATCH have self-released their first EP, Teardrops.
The duo of MHYSA and lawd knows are known for high-intensity performances that blur the lines between DJ set and live PA. Their first EP “expresses our sentiments surrounding black life, death, hypervisbility and refusal,” they write on Bandcamp, “as we confront the reality that the club—like the rest of this world—can be a vulnerable space.” The songs grew out of the last few years they spent experimenting with their hybridized live set, and a few of them were recorded straight to tape.
It follows their Labyrinth mixtape for Halcyon Veil, which RA profiled as January’s label of the month. The label also released a solo album from MHYSA in 2017.
